Envotec EWHB Series Stainless Steel Water Hammer Arrestors are designed to protect plumbing systems from shock waves caused by sudden stoppage of water flow. These conditions commonly occur with quick-closing flush valves, faucets, washing machines, dishwashers, solenoid valves, pumping systems, kitchen shutoffs, and drinking water fountains. The arrestors contain a shock-absorbing air cushion that is hermetically sealed at the factory, preventing air loss and making the unit vandal proof. They are intended for installation on horizontal piping runs and must always be installed in an upright position. The units are suitable for applications where water flow is subject to intermittent operation. Construction utilizes corrosion-resistant stainless steel components, including the body and nested bellows, with a pre-charged air compression chamber. Standard connection is male NPT, with BSPT male threaded connection available as an option.
